Former Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos is confident his old club are strong enough to retain their La Liga title this season, Ufabet Sport reported on Thursday.
Kroos has been at Real Madrid since 2014 before the German midfielder decided to leave the club and retire after Euro 2024 this summer, and now the 34-year-old is nothing more than a spectator at his former club.
Speaking on the Einfach mal Luppen podcast alongside his brother Felix Kroos, the German midfielder confidently predicted Real Madrid to win the La Liga title this season, with Atletico Madrid pipping Barcelona into second, despite the Blaugrana making a strong start with three straight wins.
‘I have no doubt (that Real Madrid will win La Liga), it will be a race for second place and Atletico Madrid will beat Barcelona,’ Kroos said.
